Description

Safety shoes TEXO-AIR MARK SB with a steel toe cap resistant to impact with an energy of 200 J and compression of 15 kN.

The upper is made of breathable textile materials. Slip-resistant sole of EVA foam and rubber, antistatic and oil-resistant. Energy absorption in the heel area. Lining of breathable 3D Mesh. Sporty design.

The shoes fall under Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment and are classified as category II personal protective equipment. Notified body: TÜV Rheinland LGA Products GmbH, Tillystraße 2, 90431 Nürnberg, Germany (0197).

Before each use and during work, check that the shoes are complete and free from damage that could affect the protective functions, for example cracks, holes or damaged seams. Damaged shoes must be replaced with defect-free shoes. Carry out a risk assessment of the work environment before choosing the shoes, and make sure the protective functions work together when other protective equipment is used.

Use the shoes only as directed and not where category II protection is insufficient. The shoes must not be modified, except for orthopaedic adaptations in accordance with Annex A of EN ISO 20345:2022. The product is not intended for contact with fire. Shoes with a textile upper are less resistant to abrasion; for work where the toe and upper are exposed to increased friction, for example kneeling work, shoes with reinforcements in these areas are recommended. No protective equipment gives complete protection, and work must be carried out with due care.

Choose the right size before first use; shoes that are too small or too large restrict movement and do not give the right level of protection. Use a shoe horn. After putting the shoes on, adjust them by tying the laces or closing the fasteners, and before taking them off, undo all laces and fasteners. Do not take the shoes off by pressing the toe of one shoe against the heel of the other. The shoes are correctly chosen when the foot sits firmly in the shoe and is not pinched.

The shoes are delivered with a removable insole, and the tests were carried out with this insole. The insole may only be replaced with one supplied by the shoe manufacturer or the insole manufacturer that meets EN ISO 20345:2022 in combination with the shoe. Shoes supplied with an insole may only be used with the insole.

The shoes have passed the slip resistance tests in accordance with EN ISO 20345:2022. The test conditions do not necessarily reflect conditions at the workplace, and slipping can still occur in some environments.

Antistatic shoes reduce the build-up of static electricity but may not give complete protection against electric shock and are not suitable for work on live electrical installations. The electrical resistance of the shoes can change considerably through flexing, contamination or moisture, and the shoes may not fulfil their function if used in damp conditions.

Care: the shoes must be given maintenance treatment before first use and at every cleaning to protect them against water, snow, dust, temperature, abrasion and salt. Clean with a slightly damp cloth and leave to dry, then apply a small amount of a good quality product intended for the material and, if needed, polish with a soft brush or cotton cloth. Do not use corrosive cleaning agents, opaque or self-gloss pastes, or a thick layer of cream or paste, and do not apply a new layer on top of an old one. Avoid soaking the shoes. Wet shoes must dry in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place at room temperature, after fitting shoe trees or filling them with soft paper. Drying with a hair dryer or near a heat source is forbidden.

Storage: dry and ventilated, in the original cardboard box, at 5 to 24 °C and 50 to 70 % humidity. Protect the shoes from extreme weather, intense light, dirt, mechanical damage and chemicals. Do not crush the shoes with heavy objects and avoid bends and creases.

Shelf life: the exact shelf life cannot be stated because intensity of use, weather and environment have an effect. When stored correctly, the shelf life is usually 5 years from the date of manufacture for leather footwear with a rubber sole and 3 years for footwear with added PU.

Warranty: one year, applies to manufacturing defects only.
